Make Your Own Spreadable Butter

spreadable butter recipe

I like spreadable butter but don’t particularly like the products available in the store. A few years back my husband and I started making our own spreadable butter. Butter is pricey and by making your own spreadable butter you can not only make it stretch farther but also easier to spread.

Spreadable Butter

1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup olive oil

In a blender or food processor, blend together butter and oil until smooth. Pour into a bowl and refrigerate.

  2. You’re welcome! We gave up margarine years back and went without anything spreadable for a long time. This is a great substitute.

  3. I love this! I am always so frustrated when the butter is hard from the fridge! now i can have soft spreadable butter!! Thanks so much for this post!!
