Make Your Own Spreadable Butter

I like spreadable butter but don’t particularly like the products available in the store. A few years back my husband and I started making our own spreadable butter. Butter is pricey and by making your own spreadable butter you can make it stretch farther as well as introducing healthy fats while still getting that delicious buttery flavor.

To make it you’ll need:
1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup canola oil or olive oil

In a blender or food processor, blend together butter and oil until smooth. Pour into a bowl and refrigerate.

This melts quickly so you’ll want to keep it refrigerated until you need it. It’s great on bread, pasta, baked potatoes and more.

P.S. Don’t you like my fancy butter bowl? It’s a leftover from my kids’ toddler days. It has a lid and many a Cheerio were toted around in that bowl.

That is a really awesome idea…I will be trying asap! I went to using REAL butter a little over a year ago, but still buy spreadable margerine for toast and such! This would allow me to go completely margerine free! Thank you so much!
