- I dissolved 1 1/2 tsp. of bread machine yeast in 4 cups of warm water in a Pyrex bowl. I made sure the temperature of the water was between 105°F-115°F.
- I mixed in 3 cups of all purpose flour and 4 tsp. of sugar and beat with a mixer just until it was smooth.
- Then I covered it loosely with plastic wrap and set it on the counter where it will remain until it’s ready (bubbly and sour smelling).
