Smoothies have become a regular part of our diet over the last year. They’re an excellent way to get more fruits and veggies in your diet.

Over time, I have developed my absolute favorite smoothie to make. Not only is it delicious and refreshing, it also satisfies a chocolate shake craving like nobody’s business. That’s not to day that I don’t occasionally enjoy a real chocolate shake, but I do it way less frequently  than I used to thanks to this healthy alternative.

If you’re looking for a healthy way to satisfy a chocolate craving, this is it.

Chocolate Covered Fruit Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 c. almond milk
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 3-4 frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 c. frozen blueberries
  • 1 heaping T. cocoa powder
  • 1 level T. peanut powder
  • 1 scoop collagen peptides(optional) – I use (affil. link)Custom Collagen

Directions

  • Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into glass and enjoy!

The frozen fruit is the key to the thick shake like consistency so it’s a good idea to keep some fruit in the freezer so you can just whip one of these up whenever you want.

Give It A Boost

Add a handful of spinach to your smoothie to give it an extra nutritional boost. The color will be a little darker but it will not change the taste.
