My Little BibleIt’s never too early to introduce a child to God’s word but it’s hard for toddlers and young preschoolers to understand the Bible as it is written. That’s why Bible stories are such a wonderful way to introduce little ones to the word of God.

My Little Bible, illustrated by Diane Le Feyer with stories retold by Mary Hollingsworth, is a collection of 42 Bible stories covering stories from both the Old and New Testament.

You’ll  find many well-known Bible stories like Noah’s Ark, the Burning Bush, Daniel and the Lion’s Den, the Birth of Jesus, and the Last Supper. You will also find stories and passages not always found in children’s Bible story books like the story of Naomi and Ruth, Psalm 23, a passage from Proverbs, and passages from Hebrews and Ephesians.

Each story is just a few sentences long and features a question at the end for the child to answer. Diane Le Feyer’s sweet illustrations compliment each story.

I think My Little Bible is absolutely adorable!  It has a padded cover and is the perfect size for little hands to carry. The stories are short enough to hold a toddler’s attention and the questions encourage them to think about what they’ve heard. I think it’s an ideal first Bible for toddlers and young preschoolers.
