Healthy Dinner Idea: Honey Lime Chicken (Real Food)

We eat a lot of chicken at our house but that’s okay since it’s such an easy way to get a healthy dinner on the table.

While looking for healthy dinner options I came across this recipe for Honey Lime Chicken. By the time I finished tweaking the recipe, I figured I should just write out my version.

Honey Lime Chicken

This meal is simple and flavorful which makes it a winner  in my book.

Honey Lime Chicken

Ingredients:

  • juice of 2 limes
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 1/3 c. liquid aminos or coconut aminos
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 4 chicken breasts, approx. 2 lbs.

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place chicken in bowl or gallon size baggie.
  • Mix together first six ingredients and pour over chicken.
  • Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Pour ingredients into 9×13 baking dish that has been greased or coated with cooking spray.
  • Bake for approximately 30 minutes, until internal temperature of chicken reaches 165 degrees.
  • Baste the chicken with sauce in baking dish a couple of times while cooking.

This is a delicious real food main dish. It is not strictly Paleo but is Paleo-ish.
