Salad is one of my go to healthy meals and one of my favorites is Taco Salad. You get the flavors of a taco while loading up on veggies.
One way I make Taco Salad healthier is by eliminating the tortilla chips. While they do add a nice cruch, they are really unnecessary flavor wise. As long as the meat is well seasoned, your taco flavor still comes through.
I don’t really think a recipe for Taco Salad is needed. Just add taco seasoning to some lean ground beef or turkey and use it to top a salad made with your favorite taco ingredients.

Finish off your Taco Salad with some sour cream, plain Greek yogurt, or homemade ranch dressing for a delicious real food meal.
I also like to add some healthy fat and a little extra creaminess to my taco salad with some sliced avocado.
