_240_360_book-2040-coverDecember typically brings with it a lot of demands on our time. There are parties and concerts to attend, gifts to purchase and wrap, and decorations to put up. If we’re not careful, we can let the month slip by with little attention paid to why we’re doing all those things.

Of course we know the why is to celebrate the birth of Christ but we have to be intentional to take the time to focus on Him.

Zondervans’ Devotions for Christmas: A Celebration to Bring You Joy and Peace offers a devotion for every day of December. Each devotion allows you to take a few minutes each day to focus on the hope, peace, and beauty of the Christmas season.

This book is absolutely gorgeous. The cover itself is striking and evokes the joy of the season. The pages inside are filled with beautiful images.

At the heart of this book are the devotions. Each one includes a scripture verse or passage, a brief devotion to ponder, and a brief prayer.

I love that this devotional doesn’t end on Christmas Day but instead goes through the end of the month. It’s such a perfect reminder that we don’t just celebrate the birth of Jesus but his life, death, and resurrection; the whole purpose of his coming to earth.

This is a wonderful devotional for the Christmas season and can be enjoyed year after year. It would make a terrific gift as well.
