At Frugal & Focused, I seek to encourage and inspire others to make the most of what we are given. I share my thoughts on frugal living, enjoying the gift of family and living a life focused on Jesus Christ. I believe we are blessed so that we may bless others.
All that I am and all that I have is thanks to my LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. My life belongs to Him. I have been forgiven much and am a work in progress. He showed me how to stop lying to myself and find my true identity and to accept that I was created just as He wanted me for a purpose. His power is made perfect in my weakness.
I am constantly inspired by my family and I’m certain I learn from more from them than they learn from me. Because of them, I have learned that simple gifts are the best gifts, that I need to slow down to see the beauty, and that I need to allow growth and maturity.
I try to live a financially responsible life and stretch our income as far as possible. I do that by saving money with coupons, cooking from scratch, planning out our menu, giving meaningful yet frugal gifts and so much more. Be sure to check out my 29 Days of Frugal Living series for many of my ideas to make the most of your financial resources.
Finally, I love to create. I find joy in capturing the beauty of creation through the lens of my camera and have an ever growing interest in graphic design. I offer free printables from time to time and you will often see my photos here. Additionally, I express myself as inspired through writing, baking, sewing, crafting and more.
I am a southern girl, growing up in a small town in northwest Alabama. My husband is a restaurant manager and we have moved multiple times in our almost two decades of marriage. We’ve lived all over central Alabama, in northeast Mississippi, in north central Kentucky and now reside in northwest Florida. It’s a running joke that he’s showing me the world one small southern town at a time. I love my life and am thankful for every last moment of it.
Thank you for joining me here. I hope you will visit often and leave encouraged and inspired to make the most of what you’ve been given.
